You've logged into your Trev Dashboard and want to get started, right? Just follow the steps below get your social media posts sorted!
Once you have logged in to https://dashboard.therealestatevoice.com.au/admin/home:
1. Connect your social media
- Navigate to the Connect menu item: Settings > Connect
- Click the 'Connect Meta' button and log in to your personal Facebook account to connect to your Facebook and Instagram business pages
- Please note, you will be connecting to your personal Facebook Account which manages your Facebook and Instagram Business pages, so don't be alarmed if you're asked to log into your personal Facebook account.
- Click on the LinkedIn tab and follow the same process to connect your LinkedIn accounts.
- Click on the Google tab and follow the same process to connect your Google Location/Business pages.
2. Check your Profile
- Click on the Profile menu item and make sure your Time Zone, Phone number and Email are correct.
- Make sure you select the Time Zone relevant to you and your office as this will affect the days and times your listings and content will be automatically shared to your social media accounts
- Don't forget to click 'Update'.
3. Set up your Brand and Share Wording
The Trev Dashboard is all about sending people back to you own website, so it's important your social media branding matches your company and website branding. For optimum branding, set up your:
- Listing Graphics - add your logo and any branding for your new sale, sold, new rent and rented listings
- Share Wording - customise the share templates so your social posts have consistent messaging that includes the property headline, address, price, bed/bath/garage, website url, description etc. Add emojis for extra social impact.
- Logo - add your logo so the social media tiles will have your branding
- Labels - add emojis or words in the place of bed/bath/garage/cars so when any of these fields do not have data, they will not appear in the share wording
4. Turn on Automation settings
Please Note: Facebook and Instagram accounts MUST be Business accounts. We cannot share to personal Facebook or Instagram pages.
- Click on the Automation menu item to set up the automation of sharing your listings and content to your social media platforms.
- We recommend completing the top section for all listing types to be shared to your social media pages instead of selecting a specific share time.
- Once this is set up, you will not need to do this step again unless you change your social media accounts.
SHARE LISTINGS (see image below)
- Automatically share listings:
- Select the listing types you wish to automatically share to your social media - sale, sold, rent, rented
- Share to Social Accounts
- Select the social media accounts to share listings to (Facebook, Instagram)
- If your Facebook login manages several Facebook pages, all of the pages will be presented here so only tick the social pages relevant to your Trev subscription
- Share Time
- Only select this option if you would prefer all of your new listings to be shared from a specific time of day
- Delay between multiple listings (in minutes)
- Add a minimum of 15 mins to allow multiple listings to have a gap between shares so your social pages don't think you're spamming it
PUBLISH ARTICLES (see image below)
- Automatically publish articles to my website':
- Select YES if you are publishing articles to your website via your website provider using a RSS feed
- You will be able to select articles you wish to publish to your website from the Trev Article Library.
- Edit Schedule
- Select up to two days for articles to be published to your website in the Planner
- Please note: You will need to supply the RSS feed to your web developer in order to plug this feature into your website and publish articles directly to your website blog.
- The RSS links for your website and email marketing platform will be displayed once articles are added from the Article Library
- Click Update
PLEASE NOTE: If you need to send the RSS links for your website to your provider, or add a RSS feed from your website to your email providers, simply click on the COPY icon to add the details to your clipboard, and 'paste' the details as required. SHARE ARTICLES (see image below)
- Automatically share articles from your website to Facebook, LinkedIn and Google:
- Tick Yes to turn this feature onto automatically share articles published on your website blog to your social media pages
- Tick Yes to turn this feature onto automatically share articles published on your website blog to your social media pages
- Select Facebook Page(s):
- A list of Facebook pages you administer will be presented at this point.
- You will only be able to select ONE account to share articles to.
- Select the LinkedIn and Google pages to share articles to
- Select web monitor OR Use RSS feed:
- This section will be pre-populated by our support staff depending on your website platform.
- For example, if you have a WordPress website, the RSS feed will be populated
- If you do not have an information in this section, please get in touch via email support@therealestatevoice.com.au.
- Share common articles
- select this option if your website is part of a larger corporate agency who publishes common articles to your website
- Please confirm this information with the Trev support team via email support@therealestatevoice.com.au.
- Click Update
MEDIA TILES (see image below)
- Select 'Enable Queue'
- Edit Schedule - click through to the Planner and select up to 2 days per week to automatically share social media tiles to your social pages.
- Select Instagram and Facebook Page(s):
- Select the Instagram and Facebook accounts you wish to share social tiles to.
- If there aren't any pages displayed, please click on the Connect button and connect to your Facebook account, then refresh this page.
- Brand Logo:
- To have your logo added to the social media tiles, please upload a company logo approx 250 pixels wide (no wider than 1000 pixels)
- Tile Footer:
- To automatically add a consistent footer to your social media posts, please update the text in this section to include your own hashtags, your own business name, your own phone number and web address.
- Click Update
5. Select some content to publish and share
a) Choose content from the Media Library and Article Library to add publish to your social pages
b) You can even add your own social media content into Your Media Library
Please note: If your agency is part of a network we support, your tiles will be automatically branded with your corporate colours and logos.
c) Customise and update media tiles and articles to reflect your brand and local real estate market in the Queue in the Action column
d) Visit your Calendar to see what content is scheduled in the coming days, weeks and months (see image below)
Now that you have your social media accounts connected, your automation settings in place and your content ready to go, your Trev Dashboard will get to work sharing your listings and content automatically.
