Sometimes your listings are added or updated in your CRM and subsequently on your website at times that are not optimal for sharing to social media.


Also, if multiple listings are updated, you may not want all of the listings to share at once.


There are two approaches to addressing this:


1. Manually schedule / share your listings rather than have them automatically shared

2. Set a preferred share time in your automation settings.



Enabling preferred sharing time

Visit Settings-> Automation > Share listings tab and scroll down until you see the 'Share time' section (see image below):



  • Tick the checkbox to turn on the preferred share time.
  • Select your preferred sharing time from the dropdown boxes. Note it is in 24 hour format, so 5pm would be 17:00.
  • Set a delay between shares to both Facebook and Instagram - minimum 15 minutes
  • Click Update


Any new or updated listings will be shared at this preferred time.


Listing delay

The default time between all shares on TREV is 10 minutes. 


This is per social network. if you manually share two listings to Facebook for example, there will be a 10 minute delay between each share.


For automatic sharing of listings, you can specify a delay between shares so listings don't get shared all at once. 


You can set this differently for both Facebook and Instagram.


Please note:

If your listing is updated after the preferred share time, the listing will not be shared until the following day.


Any other listings that are new or updated before the preferred share time will be scheduled from the last automatic share PLUS the share delay.


This preferred time and delay only relates to listings that are automatically shared. 


You can still share or schedule a listing to be shared manually, independently of these times and delays - although the default 10 minutes between shares is still applicable.


Example

For example, lets say your preferred share time is 8am and your delay for Facebook is 60 minutes.


A new listing is added to your website at 10am. This listing will be scheduled to be shared at 8am the following morning.


Then a new listing gets put on your website at 1pm, that listing will be scheduled to share at 9am the following day.


If you share a listing manually, it will share immediately.
